About Us
Gunggandji Aerospace is a 100% Aboriginal and veteran-owned and led business.
Founder and Managing Director Daniel Joinbee brings technical, operational, and leadership experience across Defence, aviation, government, industry, and Indigenous business. He is supported by experienced leaders and specialist technical expertise across the complex operating environments in which our clients work, strengthening our ability to understand client challenges and translate that understanding into confident delivery.
Gunggandji Aerospace sits within an integrated ecosystem that connects technical capability, workforce innovation, and future workforce development.

Our Identity
The Gunggandji Aerospace ecosystem is grounded in a belief in strength, resilience, and creating pathways forward, values reflected in the Yalma at the centre of our identity.
The Yalma is a ceremonial cross boomerang traditionally used by the Rainforest Bama of Yarrabah and Cairns. Its crossed form reflects those values, while the concentric circles reference flight and the Guyala, or Sea Eagle, which holds deep cultural significance for Gunggandji people.
For Gunggandji Aerospace, that identity also carries a responsibility to use our capability, relationships, and influence to create practical pathways into aviation, aerospace, and Defence.
