Meet The Team
Daniel Joinbee
Founder & Managing DirectorDaniel specialises in solving complex problems where technical capability, operational delivery, stakeholder interests, commercial realities, and long-term workforce outcomes must be mapped and aligned to achieve successful delivery. Daniel draws on more than 20 years' experience across operational service in the Royal Australian Air Force, government programme leadership with the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Department of Defence, and executive leadership as Founder and Managing Director of Gunggandji Aerospace. His ability to see the broader operating environment helps organisations make better decisions, resolve competing priorities, and deliver capability that is practical, sustainable, and aligned with the technical, operational, commercial, stakeholder, and workforce requirements needed for long-term success.
Daniel's operational background includes air traffic control across tower, approach, battlefield, and maritime environments, aviation safety, military operations planning, and qualification as a Military Search and Rescue Officer (MILSARO), including time on the SAR desk at Headquarters Joint Operations Command. That background means he knows firsthand what it takes for capability to actually work under pressure, not just what it takes to plan for it. As Program Director at DFAT, he led complex international infrastructure delivery under difficult environmental and geopolitical conditions, engaging directly with international Heads of Mission and building the governance and compliance frameworks needed to keep programmes on time and on budget, experience that means he can reconcile competing government, legal, and diplomatic requirements without losing delivery momentum. His performance leading a team embedded within Defence Space Command earned him the first Defence Contractor Commendation ever awarded for exceptional performance, a standard of delivery tested and validated by Defence itself, not simply claimed. He currently leads national stakeholder engagement strategy across 28 Defence sites for the Department of Defence's PFAS Investigation and Management Program, and separately for the 2026 Defence Estate Divestment Program. This means clients benefit from expertise informed by current, first-hand experience resolving the complex coordination, governance, and stakeholder engagement challenges that define nationally significant Government programmes.
Daniel brings more than technical or commercial expertise to client engagements. He understands that successful capability depends on the alignment of people, governance, operations, stakeholders, and long-term workforce development, and rather than treating these as separate workstreams, he brings them together into a coherent delivery approach that reduces the risk of any one element undermining the rest. As Founder and Managing Director, he has built Gunggandji Aerospace from the ground up, leading the delivery of Defence, aviation, and space consultancy alongside Defence Primes and Federal Government departments, including technical programmes spanning military satellite communications and autonomous systems. That same standard of governance and delivery discipline continues to shape Gunggandji Aerospace today, an Aboriginal and veteran-owned business built to compete at the highest levels of the Defence and aerospace industry.
Rosie Korman
Chief of Staff & Executive AssistantRosie Korman leads the corporate operations, governance, and executive coordination that give Gunggandji Aerospace the organisational discipline and operational capability required to support complex projects. She brings more than a decade of experience managing a federal electorate office, working directly with government departments, councils, and community organisations, and understands the judgement and discretion those engagements demand.
Working across the business, Rosie connects strategic priorities with the people, processes, commercial arrangements, and organisational support that enable effective delivery. She oversees human resources, recruitment, contractor management, commercial administration, compliance, stakeholder engagement, and corporate governance, providing the structure that allows technical teams to remain focused on delivering valuable client outcomes. Rosie provides operational oversight for programmes that build employment pathways for First Nations Australians and veterans, helping clients create genuine participation, strengthen workforce capability, and embed workforce pathways into project delivery to achieve meaningful outcomes beyond contractual commitments.
Rosie also plays a key role in building and managing specialist Defence workforce capability, coordinating Defence contracting opportunities from initial requirements through candidate identification, pricing, tender submission, onboarding, workforce management, and retention. Working across procurement channels, recruitment partners, candidates, and internal teams, Rosie helps ensure Gunggandji Aerospace can identify, mobilise, and retain the right specialist capability to meet Defence requirements.
Mark Moloney
Operations ManagerMark specialises in transforming technically complex requirements into programmes that Government can approve and progress, and builds confidence in delivery by connecting the technical, operational, governance, and commercial elements into a coherent programme that is ready to execute. Drawing on more than 26 years’ experience across Defence, aviation, and project management, including service as a Royal Australian Air Force officer and more than a decade directing Air Traffic Control operations, he combines direct, first-hand experience of the Defence environment with strong capability in project governance, business case development, stakeholder management, workforce planning, and delivery strategy. His aviation background extends to direct experience working with drone operators and the regulations and policy that govern them, giving organisations introducing uncrewed technology into their operations confidence that the operational, regulatory, and implementation requirements have been mapped, assessed, and integrated.
Mark has a demonstrated record of leading fast-paced Defence programmes through the multidisciplinary coordination, detailed planning, and Government approval processes that determine whether a capability commitment actually proceeds, keeping complex projects moving rather than delayed by unresolved governance, planning, and approval issues. As contractor team lead for the Deep Space Advanced Radar Capability, now recognised as an AUKUS Pillar 2 initiative, he authored the Business Case, Workforce Plan, Project Execution Strategy, and Schedule that carried the programme through Combined Pass Government approval and into a ready-to-execute handover to CASG, work recognised with an Air Force Silver Commendation. For clients, that proven track record means greater confidence that approval requirements, delivery risks, stakeholder expectations, and implementation constraints are being identified and resolved to support confident delivery. That same ability to solve problems with no established playbook carries through his aviation career: he led the first integration of 360-degree tower simulation into Air Traffic Control training in Australia, developed the national workforce plan for 44 Wing, and provided the airspace redesign and SME input for Western Sydney Airport and Project OneSky.
Mark brings both operational understanding and programme delivery discipline to every engagement. Rather than treating governance artefacts as individual requirements, he understands how the business case, workforce plan, risk profile, execution strategy, schedule, stakeholder requirements, and operational need must work together as one coherent programme. For clients, that means gaps and misalignments are identified earlier and decisions are made with a clearer view of the whole programme, creating a stronger foundation for approval and delivery.
Xanthe Taylor
Director, Marketing & CommunicationsXanthe leads the marketing and communications function that shapes how Gunggandji Aerospace is understood by the market, translating strategy, technical capability, and brand positioning into communications that are clear, credible, and consistent. Drawing on more than 15 years' experience across IBM, Emirates, Etihad, and independent strategic consulting, she combines expertise in brand strategy, marketing, communications, and executive advisory. For clients, that means the capability statements, tender responses, and public materials they see from Gunggandji Aerospace speak with one clear, consistent, and credible voice.
At IBM, Xanthe built and led regional communications strategies, advising senior leaders and managing communications for high-scrutiny, government-owned partners, including Etihad Airways' US$970 million transformation programme, which affected more than 20,000 employees. For clients, that experience means Gunggandji Aerospace's communications are shaped by someone who has already operated at the highest levels of scrutiny and sensitivity, the same standard Defence and Government engagement demand. Through her independent consulting work, she has translated complex technical and innovation propositions into clear, credible narratives for customers, partners, investors, and grant stakeholders, skill that makes Gunggandji Aerospace's technical capability easy to understand for technical and non-technical audiences alike.
Xanthe brings more than marketing execution to Gunggandji Aerospace: she treats brand, positioning, bids, capability statements, and client-facing communication as one connected discipline, ensuring the organisation presents its capability with the same clarity and rigour with which it is delivered. Her direct experience leading bid and proposal submissions that secured new business gives her a practical understanding of how communication choices influence commercial outcomes, not just brand perception. For clients and industry partners, that means Gunggandji Aerospace is easier to understand, easier to assess, and more consistent in how its capability, value, and delivery approach are represented.
Corey Wilson
Director, Client EngagementCorey brings more than 30 years' experience across Defence operations, aviation, and the Defence industry, with deep expertise in emerging Defence technologies, maritime capability, training systems, and major Defence programmes. His background includes managing Defence portfolios spanning UAS and C-UAS, UAV flight instructor and check remote pilot, and sophisticated simulation training capabilities. Clients adopting C-UAS capability need more than technical expertise, they need confidence that the threat environment has been thoroughly assessed, the regulatory requirements understood, and the integration challenges resolved. Corey brings that operational expertise and discipline from day one.
Corey has spent his career on the inside of complex procurements leading capture and tender responses, and building trusted relationships with Defence procurement agencies and industry stakeholders. That experience means he understands what separates a compliant response from a compelling one, and what it takes for a capability commitment to deliver real value once implementation begins. His record includes contributing to a team that secured a multi-billion dollar Defence base support contract, and leading a $50M integrated multi-platform training capability supporting technical branches of the Royal Australian Navy.
Corey brings more than a single lens to an engagement. Drawing on operational, technical, training, industry, and commercial experience, he weighs the factors that determine whether capability gets backed, integrated, and sustained, not simply delivered. This helps organisations make better informed decisions, reduce risk before commitments are locked in, and deliver capability that is optimised for the people, operations, and environments it is intended to support. Corey excels at solving complex problems for clients and building long-term partnerships grounded in trust, delivery excellence, and clear communication.
